Caulfield Cup berth up for grabs

Tuesday 19 September 2017, 7:51am

The winner of the Group Three Naturalism Stakes can join Humidor, Bonneval and Tally with a guaranteed start in the Caulfield Cup.

The winner of the 2000m-race gains a ballot exemption to the Caulfield Cup with 23 of Saturday's 25 nominations entered for the $3 million Cup on October 21.

Humidor gained his exemption with victory in the Group One Makybe Diva Stakes while Bonneval is guaranteed a start via her Group Two Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes win.

Tally won his way in with his Mornington Cup win earlier in the year.

Jameka won the 2016 Naturalism before her dominant win in last year's Caulfield Cup.

Hartnell remains the TAB's $6.50 favourite for the Caulfield Cup (2400m) on October 21 despite his second to Humidor with Bonneval at $8 and Humidor $11.
