Peter Moody will front Racing Victoria stewards on Friday over comments made via Twitter this week regarding cobalt testing.
The former trainer sent two tweets on Wednesday afternoon alluding to an alleged positive test in NSW by a ‘leading Vic stable’, after Racing NSW released a statement warning trainers over excess cobalt levels in feed.
Moody's tweets did not imply any cheating by the stable, but questioned how a stable which had runners in both states would not test positive in both states.
“Maybe RVL not testing for COBALT at moment. Couldnt risk more positives,” Moody said via Twitter.
Racing NSW stewards said on Thursday there were no outstanding cobalt cases in the state.
Moody will front stewards as a registered owner, with the hearing to commence at 12:45pm.
Moody's wife Sarah was fined $1,500 last year overs comments posted on her Twitter account regarding chief steward Terry Bailey.
Moody's tweet, which the board ordered her to take down read: "Underbailey TVMovie coming soon The rise & eventual fall of an out of control, no questions answered integrity department, Deception at Epsom".
The Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board in their judgement deemed the tweet to be offensive to Bailey.
