Trainer Desleigh Forster can see no reason why veteran Someday can't continue his remarkable comeback and make it back-to-back wins when he races at Ipswich.

Someday has made solid progress in his comeback from injury and feet problems and won his first race in nearly four years at Doomben two weeks ago.

The nine-year-old will take on similar company in Saturday's Sprinters' Cup (1350m) at Ipswich where he will be ridden again by Damian Browne.

Statistics tell the tale of what a good job Forster has done getting the gelding back to winning form.

Someday has started only six times since December 2014 and his previous win was in the 2013 Listed Brisbane Handicap.

It was one of eight wins for the gelding to date but probably his best as he stormed past a smart horse in Dreams Aplenty to score.

Someday has twice had breaks of more than a year before decisions were made to put him back into work.

He came to Forster for his latest comeback when the owners were reminded of her good work with horses through swimming and beach work.

Someday was well beaten at his first start for Forster in the in the Ramornie Handicap at Grafton in July.

"They just went too quick and ran a course record. It wasn't a bad run and then his next start he was good behind Havasay at Doomben," Forster said.

"I knew once he started to get back up to the 1350 and 1600 metres he would be hard to beat and that is how it turned out last start."

Forster said her main aim was to just look after Someday and make certain he was happy.

"He's a wonderful old horse and he's not finished yet. I must also pay a compliment to my staff who have done a great job ticking him over and he is ready for Saturday."

Someday is the early $2 favourite over the Matt Dunn-trained Londehero who is at $5.
