Leading Sydney jockey Hugh Bowman has been booked to ride Group One winner Bel Sprinter in next month's KrisFlyer International Sprint in Singapore.
The Jason Warren-trained Bel Sprinter, stunning winner of the Galaxy first-up before his third to Black Caviar in Saturday's TJ Smith Stakes, will enter quarantine next Monday ahead of the trip.
Warren said Bowman had accepted the ride for the 1200m race at Kranji on May 19.
"He (Bel Sprinter) has had a vaccination yesterday to go to Singapore," Warren said.
"He is going to spend the week in Sydney at a spelling farm there, then he'll start quarantine next Monday for three weeks at Denistoun Park before flying to Singapore.
"Hugh Bowman has just been booked to ride him."
Warren said the opportunity to race Bel Sprinter overseas was exciting.
"It would certainly be good if he could go over and get the job done," he said.
"There won't be any Black Caviars there which will be nice. We don't want to chase her around too often."
Warren said Bel Sprinter would likely have a let-up after the Singapore race and be set for the spring in Melbourne with another international trip at the end of the year on the cards.
"He'll probably be set for a couple of races in the spring. Our main target is going to be Hong Kong in December.
"It's just a matter of what he runs in before he goes over there. I don't want to run in too many races the mare (Black Caviar) is in."
