No shocks for Magic Millions fields

Saturday 6 January 2018, 4:21pm

There will be no shocks in the final fields for the $2 million Magic Millions Two Year Classic and $2 million Magic Millions Guineas after Saturday's racing.

Stewards confirmed Steve O'Dea's Singular Sensation would be a scratching after pulling up sore in work last week.

The final fields for next Saturday's Magic Millions Classic and the Magic Millions Guineas won't be declared until Monday.

However, both fields are fairly clear cut with a question mark only over the 16th qualifier in the races.

The Peter and Paul Snowden trained Sokudo is in the field but if he doesn't come north either Gary Moore's Paquirri or Gai Waterhouses Terminology can make the field.

Waterhouse's Dinnigan will probably make the field for the Magic Millions Guineas if Kurt Goldman's Equal Balance is not confirmed as a runner.

Sunlight was $6 third favourite before Saturday's Gold Coast win with most betting agencies but was in to $4.20 late on Saturday.

Pierata remains a $2.90 favourite for the Magic Millions Guineas with most betting agencies.
