Pierro fee set by Coolmore at $77,000

Star colt Pierro will stand his first season at Coolmore Stud for a service fee of $77,000.

Coolmore secured Pierro in a deal announced last Friday, just days after he was retired following his second in the Doncaster Mile.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse, the son of Lonhro won 11 of his 14 starts and earned more than $4.5 million.

The winner of the 2012 two-year-old triple crown, Pierro suffered his first defeat in the Caulfield Guineas won by Black Caviar's half brother All Too Hard.

The winner of Saturday's All Aged Stakes, All Too Hard's first season fee has been set at $66,000 by Vinery Stud.

All Too Hard is scheduled to travel to England for the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot in June which will be his final race.
