Jameka entered for National Broodmare sale

Tuesday 1 May 2018, 3:22pm

Triple Group One winner Jameka will be offered for auction at the National Broodmare Sale.

The five-year-old hasn't raced since her brilliant win in the 2017 Tancred Stakes (2400m) at Rosehill after which she contracted travel sickness.

Jameka, who also won the 2016 VRC Oaks and 2016 Caulfield Cup, has been added to the supplementary catalogue by Ciaron Maher Racing for the sale on the Gold Coast at the end of this month.

She raced 24 times for six wins and nine placings, earning more than $4.8 million for her owners who include her trainer Maher.

"We are honoured to have been entrusted to offer Jameka at the National Broodmare Sale. She is an absolute queen," Magic Millions' managing director Barry Bowditch said.

The 2018 sale runs from May 29 to June 1.
