Chris Caserta has to front Racing Victoria stewards after a urine sample provided by the apprentice jockey has tested positive to a banned substance.
The Caulfield-based apprentice provided the sample at the Cranbourne barrier trials on May 7.
RV stewards on Tuesday received confirmation from Racing Analytical Services that the sample contained a banned substance under the rules of racing.
Caserta was stood down from all riding and horse handling duties at the Sandown meeting on May 16.
