Dreamforce's successful return to racing at Randwick has helped Brenton Avdulla to extend his lead in the Sydney jockeys' premiership with a quartet of winners.
The John Thompson-trained gelding's narrow win in The Man Shake Handicap (1100m) continued a dream run for Avdulla who shaded a photo finish with $2.40 favourite I Thought So and his nearest challenger, Blake Shinn.
Dreamforce ($16) prevailed by a nose to stretch Avdulla's buffer to 13 wins.
Del Cielo ($20) took third, 1-1/2 lengths further back.
Dreamforce, who last raced in the Maroubra Mile in January, now has three consecutive victories as he targets the Listed Civic Stakes (1350m) and Winter Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on June 30 and July 14 respectively.
"We thought the race would be too short for him, but we kept him nice and fresh for it," Thompson said.
"They were too sharp for him early but he ran over the top late. It looks as long he's on target for a couple of stakes races coming up through the winter in Sydney."
Avdulla was rapt after Dreamforce added to his earlier wins on The Autumn Sun, Bastia and Live And Free.
"It's just nice to make the most of good opportunities," he said.
"I just rode him quiet then he let down like a good little sprinter."
