Although he has decided against running talented filly Angelic Light in the Group One Goodwood, trainer Robbie Griffiths is still looking for success in two states this weekend.
Griffiths decided to send Robert Sangster Stakes runner-up Angelic Light to the spelling paddock rather than to Saturday's Goodwood at Morphettville as she was showing signs that she "wasn't on her A-game".
The Cranbourne trainer will still be represented in Melbourne and Adelaide on Saturday with his Caulfield runners including sprinter It Is Written who has posted four wins and four placings in his 10 starts so far this campaign.
It Is Written will line up in the 1100m Open Handicap on the back of a last-start second over the same course and distance, and Griffiths said the four-year-old seemed to be holding together well.
"He's been fantastic this campaign, a model of consistency," Griffiths said.
"He's risen through the grades from a country win at Seymour to an Open win at Moonee Valley."
It Is Written was beaten a long head by Vatican last start and they are due to meet again on Saturday.
"He bombed the start and if that hadn't have happened it might have been a different result," Griffiths said.
Griffiths has three mares nominated for the $100,000 fillies and mares handicap over 1200m at Caulfield but only Vain Attraction is a definite starter.
A decision on Avionics will be made on Wednesday while You Can Dance will also be an acceptor for the Listed Proud Miss Stakes (1200m) in Adelaide.
"She'll probably end up in Adelaide to chase a bit of black type," Griffiths said of You Can Dance, a daughter of Redoute's Choice.
"She'll run well where ever she goes, but it's a harder race in Adelaide."
Meanwhile, Griffiths said there were plenty of options for Angelic Light when she returns in the spring, including the big Group One sprints.
"Her early form will tell us how she has come back and how much she has improved," he said.
