Streama will make her Melbourne debut at Caulfield on Saturday with trainer Guy Walter looking for the mare to bounce back to form in the Tristarc Stakes.

Streama arrived in Melbourne on Thursday to continue her path towards the Group One Myer Classic over 1600m on November 3.

Walter admitted the dual Group One winner's last start performance had him scratching his head a little when she could only manage sixth in the Premiere Stakes (1200m).

"I thought her last run was a little disappointing but it was the first time she had remained at 1200 metres second-up," Walter said.

"I think she's looking for a bit further."

Walter said the disappointing aspect was that Streama didn't attack the line as he hoped in the weight-for-age event won by Red Tracer.

"There were a couple of mares, like Emotional Circus, that came from behind her and ran past her so that was a little bit uncharacteristic," the trainer said.

"We'll be looking for her to bounce back in the Tristarc and show she's on track for the Myer Classic."

Streama will be ridden by Hugh Bowman who has been aboard the mare in all her 15 starts which include victories in last season's Flight Stakes and ATC Australian Oaks at Group One level.

Walter said he was happy with the way Streama had travelled to Victoria.

The trainer is also pleased with potential VRC Oaks contender Zuccotto who ran fifth at Mornington on Wednesday after losing touch with the field mid-race.

The filly is out of La Zabaglione, a half sister to Tie The Knot who Walter trained to 13 Group One wins for the Tait family.

She is also due to race over at Caulfield on Saturday.

"If she gets a start she will run in the 2000 metre race for fillies," Walter said.

"It was a good effort the other day. She lost her position and then was on the worst ground.

"She looks like she will run a journey which is pleasing."
