Joe Pride was quick to revise any expectations owner Nick Moraitis had when former Victorian Destiny's Kiss arrived at his Warwick Farm stable.
The four-year-old is the first horse Moraitis has transferred from Melbourne's Robert Smerdon to Pride since the high-profile owner decided on a change of environment for Vision And Power more than five years ago.
Vision And Power flourished in Sydney, going on to win two Group One races for Pride in the autumn of 2009, including the Doncaster Mile.
"I said to Nick, `Don't think I'm going to do that again'," Pride said.
Destiny's Kiss will have his second start for Pride in the One Solutions Handicap (1350m) at Rosehill on Saturday after a sound first-up fifth over 1400m at Randwick last month.
His best form is over middle distances and Pride expects him to need more ground and rain-affected conditions to show his best.
"He is a wet-track horse who is probably looking for further," Pride said.
However, the gelding might yet prove a handy acquisition coming into the winter.
He strung together four consecutive wins in Victoria last year, three of them on heavy tracks, and also placed behind subsequent Group Three winner Bianmick.
He is one of 15 runners in Saturday's race and will be ridden by James McDonald.
