Glyn Schofield and James McDonald will each miss one Saturday meeting because of careless riding in the Group Two Missile Stakes.

But the two jockeys will be back for August 18, the first Group One meeting of the new season featuring the Winx Stakes after electing to begin their bans immediately.

McDonald won Saturday's Missile Stakes at Randwick on Pierata, with Schofield second on Kementari.

They pleaded guilty, with McDonald admitting to shifting at the 700m, causing interference to Egyptian Symbol.

Schofield's offence happened in the straight when he shifted out, causing a concertina effect, with Egyptian Symbol at the end of that as well.

Brisbane apprentice Michael Murphy's first Sydney visit was highlighted by his win on the Steve Tregea-trained Bergerac but later soured by a week's suspension and $1000 fine for excessive use of the whip.

Murphy's poor record regarding whip infringements went against him.
