Winx has headed a Chris Waller-trained Group One line-up in race-day outings at Randwick ahead of their next assignments.
The champion exerted her authority late in a 1000m jump-out against The Autumn Sun, Foxplay and Patrick Erin, clocking 33.97 seconds for her final 600 metres.
Winx is scheduled to have her next start in the Group One George Main Stakes in two weeks and her jockey Hugh Bowman could not have been happier with her condition since her win in the race named in her honour on August 18.
"She's certainly come along since her first up run," Bowman said.
"I'm looking forward to two weeks time."
""Because I held her up and I didn't let her work into it like I would in a race, she just didn't go through her gears as well.
"But you could see the last 50 (metres) she was using herself superbly.
"She was really stretching for that winning post and like I said I'm looking forward to two weeks time when we better do it in the race."
Waller said The Autumn Sun, winner of the JJ Atkins in June, would run in next Saturday's Stan Fox Stakes over 1500m rather than the shorter Run To The Rose (1200m).
"The Golden Rose is his target and he's fit enough for 1500 metres," he said.
"He would have to carry a Group One penalty in the Run To The Rose so the Stan Fox is the better option."
Rosehill Guineas winner D'Argento had a solo workout ahead of next week's Theo Marks Stakes (1300m).
"He is spot-on," Waller said.
"We brought him today just to keep him sharp."
