Queensland stewards have adjourned an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the late scratching of She's A Youeffoh at the Gold Coast.

She's A Youeffoh was the short-priced favourite when stewards ordered her withdrawal shortly before her race on Wednesday.

An inquiry was opened after Queensland Racing Integrity Commission officers reported to stewards they believed the actions of a stablehand at trainer Les Kelly's nearby stable were suspicious.

Preliminary evidence was taken from Kelly and the stablehand and stewards ordered blood and urine samples be taken from the horse.

The inquiry was adjourned analysis of the samples.
