More than 800 Blue Diamond first acceptors

More than 800 juveniles remain in contention for next year's $1.5 million Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield after first acceptances.

The Lindsay Park stable has 101 of the record 812 first acceptors with trainer Tony McEvoy still with 65 two-year-olds among the entries for the Group One race.

The next highest nominators are the Peter And Paul Snowden stable (54), Ciaron Maher and David Eustace (51) and Mick Price (51).

The Snowden-trained Victory Vein Stakes-winning filly Anaheed is one of two late entries along with the unraced Chris Meagher-trained My Bluewings.

The Blue Diamond (1200m) is on February 23 with the Previews on January 26 and the Preludes on Feburary 9.

The next round of declarations close on January 8.
