Re-handicap for Age Of Fire at Pakenham

Wednesday 5 December 2018, 7:49pm

A clerical error has forced a re-handicap of the Darren Weir-trained Age Of Fire after the field was declared for a race at Pakenham.

Age Of Fire was handicapped off a rating of 89 for Saturday's David Bourke Memorial Handicap instead of the horse's correct mark of 98.

After discovering the mistake, Racing Victoria's handicapping department adjusted Age Of Fire's weight from 55.5kg to 60kg.

Age Of Fire will still carry the No.4 four saddlecloth on Saturday and will jump from barrier seven under John Allen.

The former New Zealand-trained galloper has had three starts for Weir, finishing a last-start fifth in the Kilmore Cup on November 25.
