A trip to Queensland is still the plan for Lake Sententia despite a slight interruption to her campaign.
The mare runs at Moonee Valley on Wednesday in a race re-scheduled after Saturday's wash-out of Sandown.
The wet weather also meant she missed a gallop but trainer Darren Weir says a win at the Valley will get her back on track.
"She has missed a gallop but there's not much you can do," Weir said.
"It's not ideal, normally I would have galloped her (on Saturday) but it was too wet to do so."
Weir said the mare had been in great order leading into last weekend before the race had to be put back to Wednesday.
Lake Sententia is the $2.70 favourite for the City Jeep Handicap and her performance will determine whether she heads north for the tail-end of the Queensland winter carnival.
"If she can win or run really well tomorrow it's a chance for sure," Weir said.
"The Caloundra Cup would be the main race for her."
Lake Sententia notched the first stakes win of her career when she took out the Listed Centaurea Stakes (2009m) at Morphettville on May 11 despite enduring a wide run in transit.
It formed part of a feature race double for Weir on the day with Platelet taking out the Group One Goodwood.
The Moonee Valley meeting, which will finish under lights, also features a 1000m race for two-year-olds and the entries include the unraced Mick Price-trained colt All Rise.
He is a half-brother to Starspangledbanner who won Group Ones in Australia under Leon Corstens and England in the care of Aidan O'Brien.
Starspangledbanner started his career with a debut win at Moonee Valley as a two-year-old in October 2008.
He had fertility issues in his first stint at stud with Coolmore and returned to racing under O'Brien but failed to regain his previous form.
He has recently been retired again and will be given a second chance at stud this spring when he stands at Rosemont Stud in Victoria.
