Brenton Avdulla hopes to be back riding in a few days after being tossed off Golden Slipper winner Estijaab when she stumbled out of the gates in a Rosehill barrier trial.
Avdulla, who won the Slipper on the filly, is sore and sorry but has suffered no broken bones in Tuesday's incident.
"Not an ideal morning being dislodged from my golden girl ESTIJAAB. Thankfully I have no breaks but will have plenty of bruising after she ran over the top of me. Ribs, thigh, wrist and hips are the main discomfort at the moment. Hopefully back in the saddle by the weekend." Avdulla posted on Twitter.
Estijaab ran at the front of the field and was eventually caught by the clerk of the course.
The Hawkes Racing-trained Estijaab has not raced since she won the Golden Slipper in March last year.
She had a barrier trial in August but was subsequently sent back to the spelling paddock.
