Mr Money Bags is currently high in All-Star Mile voting and the gelding continues his campaign towards a crack at the rich Flemington race when he runs at Caulfield.
The Robbie Griffiths-trained Mr Money Bags is scheduled to contest Saturday's Mal Seccull Handicap (1400m) and was the $2.80 favourite on Friday for the benchmark 84 race despite a wide barrier draw.
With more than 2600 votes, Mr Money Bags was sitting fourth in the polling for All-Star Mile spots on Friday.
The public vote runs until February 18 and the 10 horses who receive the most votes will gain a place in the All-Star Mile on March 16, with another four wildcards to be issued by Racing Victoria.
Griffiths is hoping Mr Money Bags polls enough votes to run in the $5 million event at Flemington where the four-year-old has won three races.
Mr Money Bags can further his case on Saturday as he bids to bounce back after his fourth in the Listed Chester Manifold Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on January 12 after winning his previous start.
"He was terrific last start," Griffiths said in his stable update.
"He pulled up a bit sore in his left front leg, that's why he was running in under pressure at the end of the race but he was still good to run fourth.
"He's drawn terribly (12) but he often does.
"He is favourite and he deserves to be. He will need a bit of luck from that barrier but he is going well enough."
