Mornington training partners David Brideoake and David Feek are planning for the spring with Lady Lakshmi after the filly's Flemington win on Saturday.
Lady Lakshmi posted her second straight city win in the Murray Cox Handicap (1400m) and Feek said her victories had convinced the stable to target Group One races.
"I know it's winter time and you're not quite sure what you are beating but, for a stable like ours, you have got to live the dream," he said.
Feek said races such as the Group One Thousand Guineas (1600m) and the Group One VRC Oaks (2500m) are in Lady Lakshmi's range. Her dam Dashing Granada ran fourth in the 2000 VRC Oaks.
"In the pedigree, she'll easily get a mile-and-a-half. She looks like she'll get a mile-and-a-quarter now off that," Feek said.
"From a training point of view, she's got a great temperament, a great pedigree and I hope she can take us all the way."
Jockey Daniel Stackhouse capitalised on an inside draw to have Lady Lakshmi midfield on the rail before she was eased out to make a challenge.
Sent out favourite, Lady Lakshmi ($4.20) hit the front 200m out before Stackhouse gave her an easy time over the final 50m, allowing the placegetters Riverina Red ($9.50) and Theodora ($21) to get within 1-1/2 lengths at the finish.
