Bogenhuber cleared after Toowoomba fall

Wednesday 6 March 2019, 3:05pm

Jockey Skye Bogenhuber has been cleared of serious brain damage after a fall in a jump-out at Toowoomba.

Bogenhuber was taken to the Toowoomba Hospital after Tuesday's fall and tests showed she had a small bleed on the brain.

Specialists from Brisbane examined Bogenhuber on Wednesday after further CT scans.

"The further tests have revealed there is no swelling on the brain and the small bleed has stopped," a Racing Queensland spokesman said.

He said Bogenhuber needed rest and would not have visitors for at least two days.

Bogenhuber is one of the most popular jockeys in Queensland and has been in form since returning to Queensland from a stint in NSW late last year.
