Godolphin's Tassort out of Golden Slipper

Saturday 9 March 2019, 11:03am

Long-time Golden Slipper favourite Tassort will miss the race and the rest of the autumn after a setback with a bruised hoof.

Godolphin trainer James Cummings has told Racing NSW the colt has not shown the necessary improvement over the past few days to continue with his preparation.

Earlier this week, Tassort was withdrawn from the Todman Stakes but Cummings had hoped to run him in next week's Pago Pago Stakes, seven days before the $3.5 million Golden Slipper at Rosehill.

Cummings said the colt would now be spelled.

Microphone and Time To Reign are now the TAB's equal $7 favourites ahead of Saturday afternoon's Slipper qualifying races, the Todman and Reisling Stakes.
