Jockey Kane Bradley has broken his nose and been taken to hospital for observation after a nasty fall at Mornington on Monday.
Bradley's mount Rock It Ruby fell approaching the home turn in the Hyland Race Colours Plate (1200m).
"At the moment it looks like he has broken his nose and has a cut lip," steward Rob Montgomery said.
"He's going to Frankston Hospital for observation."
The jockey is also believed to have lost a couple of teeth in the fall.
