Pierata set to join Aquis stallion roster

Wednesday 24 April 2019, 4:07pm

Australia's most recent Group One winner Pierata has run his last race and is likely to stand at Aquis Farm, subject to the usual checks and balances.

The winner of Saturday's All Aged Stakes, Pierata is by Pierro out of Group Three-winning Flying Spur mare November Flight.

Aquis has issued a statement saying it can confirm they have entered a Heads of Agreement to purchase Pierata.

"However, we stress the completion of the deal is subject to full veterinary inspection and fulfilling all stallion insurance requirements," Aquis said.

Pierata was trained by Greg Hickman to win seven of his 19 starts, earning more than $3.3 million.
