Sydney jockey Blake Shinn is having an outstanding run of success since relocating to Queensland for the winter and could easily continue it by winning the main two races at Eagle Farm.
Shinn rode a treble at the Gold Coast on Wednesday, taking his haul to 15 winners in Queensland from 42 rides.
He has had at least one winner at each of the meetings where he has ridden and is now in the top 20 Queensland metropolitan jockeys.
"I have been lucky to get the support of some top stables this winter," he said.
Shinn looks like continuing his run with seven rides at Eagle Farm, including premium chances to add to the five stakes winners he has ridden this winter.
He will ride I Am Excited in the Group One Kingsford Smith Cup and Czarson in the Group Two BRC Sires Produce
Gai Waterhouse will hope Shinn's success continues on Czarson as she has trained more than 500 black-type winners in a glittering career but she has never won the BRC Sires'.
Her father Tommy Smith won the Sires five times and Czarson seems ideally placed for Waterhouse and Bott to join him.
Czarson won his first two starts and was then an unlucky fourth in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic when coming from a wide barrier.
He has been second at his past two starts including a solid last-start effort behind Dubious in the Group Two Champagne Classic.
