Star three-year-old Peron's chances of ending the season a Group One winner hinge on the attrition rate for Saturday's Tatt's Tiara at Eagle Farm.
The filly, who has won six of her seven starts, is number 23 in the ballot order for the Tatt's Tiara (1400m), the final Group One race of the season which has a field limit of 18.
It seems she will get into the the field and if so, will be one of the favourites for the fillies and mares race.
Horses above her such as City of Song, Our Miss Jones, Royal Bender, Serene Star and Wild Mia are likely to be missing when the field is declared on Wednesday.
Formerly known as the Winter Stakes, the race was upgraded to Group One in 2007 and three-year-olds have won four of the six runnings since.
She would also give trainer John Thompson successive wins with Pear Tart successful in 2012 after a battle with Skyerush who once again lines up on Saturday.
Skyerush travelled from Sydney to Brisbane on Sunday night and trainer Guy Walter was pleased with her condition on Tuesday.
Walter made the trip north on Tuesday morning to watch stablemate Streama gallop at Eagle Farm.
"She travelled extremely well and won't do a lot between now and Saturday," Walter said.
"She had the racecourse gallop at Randwick last week and on Saturday morning she had another gallop on the course proper at Warwick Farm so she's right where she needs to be.
"Streama had an easy work-out on the outside of the course proper at Eagle Farm.
"She is very fit and didn't need to do a lot.
"The barrier draw is crucial for her. She has had a lot of bad barriers."
A dual Group One winner at three, Streama ran third in the Stradbroke Handicap won by Linton, prompting the decision to give her a final chance at a Group One this preparation.
"My concern is that she is at the end of a long campaign and I hope she is sharp enough for one more race," Walter said.
Yosei, who won in 2011 as a three-year-old, is back for another try while leading Group One trainer Chris Waller has two chances, She's Clean and Red Tracer, to end his season with nine wins at the elite level.
