Rain forces meeting switch to Casterton

Monday 3 June 2019, 1:43pm

Casterton will host a meeting scheduled for Warrnambool which has been found to have surface water on the track.

Racing Victoria stewards inspected Warrnambool on Monday and determined it would not be suitable for racing a day later.

The track was in the heaviest range on Sunday and received an additional 14mm of rain overnight, bringing the weekly total to more than 60mm.

Casterton was in the soft range on Monday after receiving 9mm overnight for a weekly total of 16mm.

The transfer of venue means a change in distance for a number of races.
