North Queensland trainer Roy Chillemi has been fined $1000 and Lord Archer disqualified after jockey Wanderson D'Avila weighed in light.
Stewards at Cairns on Monday opened an inquiry after D'Avila came in 0.8kg under Lord Archer's weight of 59kg.
Lord Archer was disqualified and Flying Fero declared the new winner.
Queensland Racing Integrity Commission boss Ross Barnett said Chillemi as trainer had pleaded guilty to failing to add the lead weights when he saddled Lord Archer.
The highlight of the meeting was How Can I Help's win in the final heat of the Battle Of The Bush series.
Trained at Atherton by Janelle Ryan, How Can I Help was ridden by champion NSW-based jockey Robert Thompson to a 2-1/2 length win in the 1250m-race.
The race was held at Cairns after last week's Mareeba meeting was washed out.
The Battle Of The Bush final for country-trained horses is at Eagle Farm on June 22.
