Caloundra gelding Star Of Michelin will add another chapter to the remarkable story of a genuine Queensland racing dynasty on Saturday.

Star of Michelin is aiming for his third win in a row in the Worldwide Printing Handicap (1600m) at Eagle Farm.

The gelding is raced by his breeders Ross and Judy Cutts whose black and white check colours have been carried to wins in countless races including five Group Ones.

The story started nearly 40 years ago when Ross Cutts bought his first horse a colt by then top sire Vice Regal.

The horse was Regal Advice who won five races including the 1983 QTC Castlemaine Stakes (which is now the J J Atkins.)

When his racing days were over Regal Advice stood at stud in NSW and Cutts bought a mare named Misty Morning for $800 to send to the rookie sire.

The mating produced Miss Sandman who won 12 races in Brisbane and she is rated among the best wet-track performers seen in Queensland.

Her younger sister Advisable was also a good performer winning six races.

The sisters have gone on to etch their names in Queensland Racing folklore as broodmares with their descendants helping the Cutts family build a dynasty.

Miss Sandman's best racetrack performer was multiple Group One winner Show A Heart who was for many years Queensland's champion stallion.

Advisable got the multiple stakes winner Any Suggestion who was also a good sire.

Star Of Michelin is the fifth generation of horses raced by the Cutts family to be a city winner.

He is Jet Spur out if the mare Conca Bella who is by Show A Heart from the mare Wabble making her a sister to the Group One Oakleigh Plate winner Woorim.

Anyone looking at Star Of Michelin would realise he is a descendant of the Show A Heart line.

Trainer Stuart Kendrick said Star Of Michelin was a big gangly horse who was growing into his body.

"He certainly throws to Show A Heart. He was $41 at his first win and then overcame difficulties to win again at his next start," Kendrick said.

"Both his wins were at Eagle Farm and there is no doubt he is a big track horse. I am very keen to see him out to 1600m on Saturday."

Kendrick said if Star Of Michelin raced well at 1600m he could run in the summer staying three-year-old series.
