Dual Group One winner Verry Elleegant will miss a race day gallop because of a slight foot issue but trainer Chris Waller says it will not affect her preparation.
The winner of the Vinery Stud Stakes and Australian Oaks in the autumn, Verry Elleegant was scheduled to gallop at Randwick on Saturday alongside stablemates Unforgotten, Youngstar and Kings Will Dream.
But Waller said the mare had a little tenderness in a foot after pulling a shoe off during Thursday morning trackwork.
He said she would gallop at Rosehill on Tuesday morning and line up in Saturday week's Group One Winx Stakes as scheduled.
Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott will send Bellevue Hill and Just Thinkin' to the track for a 1000m-gallop before Saturday's first race while the Anthony Cummings-trained Libertini and Prince Fawaz will gallop over 800m after the first race.
Libertini won a barrier trial on Monday and is scheduled to begin her spring campaign in the Silver Shadow Stakes on Saturday week.
