The Group One Thousand Guineas is the spring aim for the promising Tango's Daughter after her win at Sandown on Wednesday.
Confirming an inglorious run on debut in January is now all but a distant memory, the Mick Price-trained filly made it back-to-back victories in the Equine Haven Racehorse Spelling Plate (1000m).
Stable representative Luke Wilkinson said Tango's Daughter would be sent for a break and return in the spring with the Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield the target.
Jockey Craig Newitt believes the feature race for fillies is a realistic aim for the daughter of Redoute's Choice.
"She'll run a mile on her ear," Newitt said.
"She's a big filly and covers a lot of ground in her stride so it (the Thousand Guineas) would be the logical target."
Tango's Daughter failed to beat a runner home at her first start in the Blue Diamond Preview won by the Daniel Clarken-trained Miracles Of Life, a filly owned in the same interests.
Wilkinson said Tango's Daughter would take a different path to Miracles Of Life in the spring.
Tango's Daughter ($3) sat outside the leader and got through the heavy going safely to defeat favourite Il Diamante ($2) by 3-3/4 lengths with another 1-3/4 lengths to Miracle To Me ($15) third.
"She's obviously better than winter grade," Newitt said.
"She's come back and done everything right this time."
Meanwhile, a second win for the day to Jackie Beriman on three-year-old Lonhruge in the Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1600m) brought up the apprentice's 20th city victory to reduce her metropolitan claim to 2kg.
Beriman had earlier won on the Robert Smerdon-trained Arch Fire.
