Ten horses have stood their ground after acceptances to run in the Group One Winx Stakes at Randwick.
The 1400m weight-for-age contest will be the spring starting point for several high-profile spring horses, including Avilius and Verry Elleegant.
Avilius is one of two runners for trainer James Cummings with Best Of Days also set to resume.
Winner of the Ranvet Stakes and Tancred Stakes at Group One level during a profitable Sydney autumn campaign, Avilius is the early favourite for the Winx Stakes.
The Chris Waller-trained Verry Elleegant also resumes after a hat-trick of autumn wins culminated in her ATC Australian Oaks victory.
Waller will also start Youngstar, Unforgotten and stable newcomer Kings Will Dream.
Nine-year-old Happy Clapper, a $6.8 million earner, will start another campaign as one of the elder statesmen of Australia's weight-for-age ranks.
