Apprentice riders had a day out at Sandown on Wednesday winning six of the eight races.
Jake Duffy completed the big day for the in-demand junior riders at the winter meeting when he arrived in time aboard the John Salanitri-trained Bitola to take out the Le Pine Funerals Handicap (1400m).
Jackie Beriman landed a milestone 20th metropolitan win with her second success of the day aboard the Robbie Laing-trained Lonhruge in the Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1600m).
Beriman's 3kg metropolitan claim is reduced to 2kg but won't come into play until after Saturday's Moonee Valley meeting.
Fellow claiming riders Damien Thornton and Jye McNeil got in on the act with victories on Spirited Will and Run Diego respectively, while Melbourne's leading apprentice Chad Schofield scored aboard the Mick Kent-trained St Mark in the Mitavite Handicap (1800m).
Schofield, who has already outridden his claim and will win his first Melbourne apprentices' title at the end of the season, said he would join the senior ranks from August 1.
