Bookmakers betting on the $14 million Everest have reacted after the Concorde Stakes at Randwick, trimming the first two across the line to single figures.
Dual Everest winner Redzel firmed $15 to $7 with the TAB after he beat Pierata in Saturday's 1000m-sprint at Randwick with the runner-up now also $7 after being at $10 before the race.
But punters should be wary of taking the $8 about Saturday's Furious Stakes winner Libertini with her owner Gerry Harvey saying she was 100-1 to run even if she was offered a slot.
"From my point of view no chance she will run in the Everest," Harvey said.
"It's 100-1 she would run in the Everest."
Santa Ana Lane, who is yet to run this campaign, is the $5 Everest favourite with last year's third, Osborne Bulls, on the second line with Redzel and Pierata.
Godolphin's Osborne Bulls had a race day gallop at Randwick on Saturday and is scheduled to resume in The Shorts (1100m) on September 21.
