Trainer Ben Currie's fraud case adjourned

Monday 16 September 2019, 4:46pm

Toowoomba trainer Ben Currie has had his charges on alleged fraud adjourned again.

Currie's case was Listed in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Monday but he did not have to appear.

The case was adjourned until October 18 for a committal mention.

Currie has been charged with aggravated fraud between November 2016 and March this year.

Police have previously alleged Currie obtained prize money by using unregulated supplements which helped horses performances.

He has not been asked to enter a plea.

Currie is currently disqualified from training for six years and three months on numerous racing charges and faces more but they will not be resolved until after his fraud offences are resolved.
