Two Group One wins on the the Caulfield Guineas program has still not been enough for Mark Zahra to be crowned the day's 'Star Of The Saddle'.
Zahra won Saturday's Group One Caulfield Stakes and also snatched a last-stride win aboard Super Seth in the feature Caulfield Guineas but the jockey was beaten by both Kerrin McEvoy and Damian Lane in the pointscore for the day's leading rider.
At selected feature spring meetings in Melbourne this year jockeys are competing for a cash prize.
Points are awarded on a 3-2-1 basis for placings in each race on the respective programs, with Lane and McEvoy both registering eight points on Saturday to share the $50,000 .
Zahra's Group One wins earned him six points but he did not finish in the top three in any other races.
He was fourth in the two other Group One races on the program, aboard Lyre in the Thousand Guineas and Sikandarabad in the Toorak Handicap.
McEvoy's points came courtesy of a winning double aboard California Zimbol in the Group Three Thoroughbred Club Stakes and Trekking in the Group Two Schillaci Stakes along with placings on Groundswell (3rd Caulfield Guineas) and Age Of Chivalry (3rd Toorak Hcp).
Lane won the Group Two Herbert Power on The Chosen One and had placings on Missile Mantra (2nd Thousand Guineas), Loving Gaby (2nd Thoroughbred Club Stakes) and The Bostonian (3rd Schillaci).
Jordan Childs won the first 'Star Of the Saddle' last Saturday week on Turnbull Stakes day to claim that $50,000 prize.
This week the prize goes to $100,000 for Caulfield Cup day.
