Trainer Shawn Mathrick has been charged with a stomach tubing offence.
Racing Victoria stewards issued Mathrick with two charges on Tuesday stemming from a race day stable inspection by the RV Compliance Assurance Team on April 17.
Acting on a report from CAT, stewards ordered the withdrawal of the Mathrick-trained Ayers Rock from a 2400m-benchmark 64 race at Geelong later that day.
Stewards allege Mathrick stomach-tubed, caused or attempted to stomach tube Ayers Rock on April 17, the day the horse was scheduled to race.
He has also been charged with failing to maintain treatment records.
Stewards have also issued one charge to registered stable employee Kim Mathrick, alleging she was a party to the stomach-tubing or attempted stomach-tubing of Ayers Rock.
The Victorian Racing Tribunal will hear the charges on a date to be fixed.
