The Phillip Stokes-trained Mr Quickie has been passed fit to race on Cox Plate day at The Valley in either the feature race if he gains a start or the Moonee Valley Gold Cup.
Mr Quickie had to be re-examined by a Racing Victoria veterinarian on Friday after presenting with lameness in his left front leg on Thursday.
The second emergency for Saturday's $5 million Cox Plate was passed fit to race on Friday.
Mr Quickie is entered for Saturday's Moonee Valley Gold Cup (2500m) should he not gain a start in the Cox Plate.
The four-year-old and Cox Plate first emergency Humidor are both in the Moonee Valley Gold Cup field.
Mr Quickie was the $2.60 favourite for the Moonee Valley Gold Cup on Friday with Humidor at $4.20.
The other two Cox Plate emergencies, Gailo Chop and Dream Castle, are in Saturday's Group Two Crystal Mile (1600m).
