Three jockeys suspended on VRC Oaks day

Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate-winning jockey Damian Lane has been slapped with a second double suspension for the spring carnival.

Lane was handed two suspensions on Caulfield Cup day before he was hit with two bans from Flemington on Thursday.

He will miss 12 meetings following the Sandown Classic fixture on November 16.

John Allen was banned for 13 meetings for careless riding while Darryl McLellan was suspended for six meetings and fined $2500 for a whip breach aboard runner-up Never Listen in the VRC Oaks.
