Racing Victoria stewards have adjourned an inquiry into a alleged incident between a jockey and a trainer at Flemington.
Stewards took evidence from retiring jockey Stephen Baster, trainer Glenn Thornton and Victoria Racing Club security officer Simon Ogden.
Baster rode for the final time at the Melbourne Cup carnival which finished on Saturday after a career spanning more than 28 years.
Jockey James McDonald, who rode Nature Strip to win the Group One Darley Sprint Classic, was fined $1500 on a whip breach after winning on Mandela Effect in the Cup Week Radio Trophy.
