David Pfieffer Racing Stables is having an Open Day from 11am-1pm on Sunday July 14 at his Warwick Farm stables. David has 25 horses in training and at 32 years of age is one of the young up and coming metropolitan trainers in Sydney. He's trained 33 winners for the season so far and maintains a strong strike rate for a small stable.
His most notable successes have been with Graceful Anna, winner of the 3yo Magic Millions and over $1m in prize money. His first Group 1 win was just 0.4 lengths away last season when Gai's Choice ran 3rd to Pear Tart and Red Tracer in the $500,000 Tattersalls Tiara.
Working with Joice Thoroughbreds, David Pfieffer can now syndicate yearlings to the general public and they have registered several horses for syndication from top class stallions including High Chaparral, Tale Of The Cat and All American.
There will be a BBQ, beverages and a horse parade at midday. The Open Day starts at 11am and concludes at 2pm. Dave's stables are on course at Warwick Farm near the corner of Governor Macquarie Dr and Hume Hwy. Access from both roads.
"The Open Day is a great opportunity for all of my current owners to come out to the stables, relax, inspect their horses, enjoy a drink and have a good time. It's always good for people to meet the other shareholders in a horse as well. Many times, lifelong friendships are made through owning a horse together.
The other great thing about an Open Day is that people who have never owned a horse before or who are interested in seeing how the stable works can come along, have a look around, see some of the stable stars and have a chat directly to the trainer. So everyone is welcome including children."
