Andrew Noblet says lightly raced Can'tforgetyou is lucky to be racing let alone winning after recording back-to-back victories at The Valley.
Can'tforget scored over the 1000m course at The Valley on November 15 before taking out the Condare Court Tanderra Handicap over the same journey on Saturday.
Under Daniel Stackhouse, Can'tforgetyou ($5) came from the tail of the field to register a short half-head win from the $4.60 favourite Bella Vella with Causeway Girl ($4.80) a half-head away third.
Trainer Andrew Noblet said Can'tforgetyou was lucky to be alive after crashing into a paddock gate while spelling, requiring 12 months on the sidelines.
"When the vet rang me he said if she lives she might make a nice broodmare," Noblet said.
"The first few days for her were very important fighting off infection and when you look at the scars on her front legs you can see she ripped herself apart.
"She had 12 months off and the Friday night meeting when she won here was 12 months to the day since her accident.
"It's a good story this horse, she's owned by some good people and is just a tough, tough mare."
Can'tforgetyou has raced on seven occasions, registering three wins and four minor placings with two of her victories and one placing being posted at The Valley.
However Can'tforgetyou will require another stint on the sidelines after she bled from both nostrils during the race, incurring an automatic three-month ban.
