The young rider's contract ends on December 31 and he expects to be riding in Melbourne next month.

"I've decided to return to Melbourne when my contract comes to an end on the 31st December. I'd like to thank @HKJC_Racing for the opportunities over the course of my stint, it's been great. I'll have a short break & return to race riding early Jan" Baylis said on Twitter.

Italian Umberto Rispoli has also decided to leave Hong Kong and has been granted an early exit from December 16.

Rispoli is to relocate to Santa Anita in the United States.
