Stewards put stop to Shinn's winning run

Saturday 13 July 2013, 6:22pm

Blake Shinn's winning streak has come to an end with a one-month suspension for two separate offences at Warwick Farm on Saturday.

Shinn has ridden seven winners in the past week including Mr O'Ceirin in Thursday's Grafton Cup and three at Goulburn on Friday.

He will be out after Wednesday's Randwick meeting and can return on August 15.

Peter Robl also incurred a suspension which will keep him out until July 27 but Nash Rawiller escaped with a reprimand for his winning ride on Charing Cross.

This will allow Rawiller to continue his chase for the Sydney jockeys' premiership in which he trails Hugh Bowman by 5-1/2 wins.
