Melbourne Cup winner Vow And Declare features among nominations for the $1.5 million Australian Cup at Flemington while dual winner Harlem is also entered.

Nominations for three feature Group One races at Flemington were released on Monday, with the weight-for-age Australian Cup (2000m) on March 7 attracting 67 nominations with a host of high-profile sprinters among the 60 entries for the $1.25 million Newmarket Handicap (1200m) on the same day.

The $1 million Australian Guineas (1600m) for three-year-olds on February 29 has 106 nominations including Super Seth and Alligator Blood who were involved in a memorable finish to the Caulfield Guineas in the spring, with Super Seth beating the Queenslander in the final stride.

Vow And Declare could have his first start of 2020 in the Australian Cup with trainer Danny O'Brien to decide in the next six weeks whether to include the race on his program or wait and run him first-up in the $4 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes in Sydney in April.
