Races added to upcoming Victorian meetings

Friday 31 January 2020, 3:36pm

After having to abandon a night race meeting at The Valley and reviewing the upcoming schedule, Racing Victoria has added five races across three meetings in Victoria in February.

Friday night's meeting at The Valley was called off on Thursday because of the forecast extreme heat, with temperatures predicted to exceed 40 degrees.

Next Thursday's Pakenham night meeting will now be a 10-race card instead of eight while the following night's Valley program will feature two additional races, making it a 10-race program.

A 1400m benchmark-70 and 1600m benchmark-70 have been added to the Pakenham program while a 3000m benchmark-64 and 2040m benchmark-70 have been added to The Valley meeting.

A maiden for two-year-olds has been added to the program at Bendigo on February 15.
