Victorian trainer Mark Sues has been charged with failing to provide proper and sufficient nutrition and appropriate veterinary treatment to four horses.
Racing Victoria stewards issued nine charges relating to welfare against Sues on Monday, four in the alternative.
Stewards allege that up to July 1 last year, Sues failed to provide the horses Remodel, Speech Therapy and a filly by Excelebration out of Lolini with proper and sufficient nutrition.
He has also been charged in the alternative with failing to provide veterinary treatment for those horses with the Excelebration/Lolini filly suffering from exudative dermatitis.
Stewards also allege up to and including November 26 he failed to give All In Sync proper and sufficient nutrition.
The charges will be heard by the Victorian Racing Tribunal at a date yet to be determined.
