Boss free for Slipper day with ban altered

Glen Boss is free to ride on Golden Slipper day after having the dates of a careless riding suspension altered.

Boss was outed for an incident in the Liverpool City Cup on Saturday at Randwick and suspended from March 10 to 22, the day after the Slipper.

On Sunday, Racing NSW stewards agreed to an application from Boss to start the ban from March 9 and come back to ride on Slipper day at Rosehill.

He will still miss the $5 million All-Star Mile meeting at Caulfield on March 14 when he was due to ride Kolding.

Slipper day features five Group One races - the Slipper, the George Ryder, the Ranvet,the Galaxy and the Rosehill Guineas.
