Rosehill meeting abandoned after one race

Wednesday 1 April 2020, 2:20pm

The midweek Sydney meeting at Rosehill has been abandoned after one race with the track in an unsuitable condition following heavy rain.

Shortly after the Matthew Smith-trained two-year-old filly Rock My Wand raced to a 4-1/2-length maiden win in Wednesday's Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1200m) on a heavy track, the decision was made to call off the remaining seven races on the card.

Rosehill has raced the past three Saturdays during the Golden Slipper festival.

Rock My Wand had placed in three of her four previous starts before breaking through for her maiden win with Jason Collett aboard.
